GENERAL PRODUCT QUESTIONS
Q: How do you scent the jewelry?
A: I incorporate a skin safe fragrance oil into the polymer clay and bake it to seal in the scent. The scent can last from 6 months to forever depending on the style. Typically, darker scents like cinnamon, chocolate and gingerbread tend to last longer than the fruitier scents.
Q: How do I care for my jewelry pieces?
A: Unless you request otherwise, my jewelry findings are hypoallergenic surgical steel, which is great for sensitive ears and very resistant to tarnishing, but if the metal does discolor, here's a handy tutorial for using non-toxic, inexpensive household materials to remove stains. The foods themselves are made from polymer clay, which turns into a plastic after baking, so the pieces are water resistant, and I have worn my jewelry in the shower without causing harm. Please remove jewelry when swimming in a chlorinated pool as the chemicals may cause discoloration. Avoid leaving the pieces in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as this can cause fading, and if you choose to use a commercial metal polish on the findings, dip only the metal portions into the cleaner, as it can damage the finish of the polymer clay. To prolong the scent, store in the plastic bag that came with the jewelry.
Q: What type of metal is used in the jewelry findings?
A: Unless otherwise noted in the individual item description, all of my earring wires and posts are hypoallergenic, lead-free surgical steel. While surgical steel does contain nickel, the nickel is so tightly bound within the metal that it rarely triggers allergic reactions, unlike many other base metal findings and even sterling silver, which is sometimes alloyed with nickel. I have extreme nickel sensitivities, and surgical steel is one of the few metals that I can safely wear for extended periods of time, which is why I have chosen to use it in my pieces. My necklace and bracelet chains are nickel-free, silver plated brass, unless otherwise noted. If you'd like to substitute out a different metal, just contact me and I'll be happy to accommodate you. I also offer 14kt gold, silver and platinum findings. They are usually located in the listing as an option. If you do not see it as an option, please contact me before you purchase.
Q: How big are the food pieces?
A: All miniature food items are made to 1:12 scale (one inch in miniature equals one foot in "real life") or 1:6 scale, which is suitable for Barbie, Blythe, and many other play scale toys, but food jewelry pieces vary in size. Be sure to check the individual measurements listed in each item's descriptions before purchasing. You can also request a custom size to fit your dollhouse needs.

Q: What is the welcome kit and how do I get one?
A: The new customer welcome kit is a goody bag that includes an adorable free scented charm and a 25% off coupon. If this is your first purchase with Decadent Minis, you are eligible to receive a new customer welcome kit. Simply spend $50 or more on your first order, and I will include your free welcome kit in your order package. The welcome kit is only available to new customers and only on their first order, which must total $50 or more, not including shipping. One welcome kit per household/customer, please.
CUSTOM ORDERS / WHOLESALE
Q: Do you take custom requests?
A: Of course! I am more than happy to create unique pieces, so please contact me to get started with your custom request. You can request a custom piece by sending me a message at firstname.lastname@example.org or filling out the custom order form here.
Q: Do you offer wholesale?
A: Yes I do! Please be advised there is a $150.00 minimum to place an wholesale order with us. Please contact me directly at email@example.com for more info and fill out the wholesale order form here.
Q: How is payment handled?
A: I accept both PayPal and credit card payments. PayPal is my main source for credit card processing. You do not need to have an account with PayPal to process your order. There is an option below the PayPal website to input your credit card info. Please be advised that we will not have access to your credit card info. Your card information will be processed under the security of the PayPal website and then deleted by PayPal if you choose to not save it with them. Please select the appropriate option on the checkout page. PayPal echeck users, please be aware that paying with a checking account/eCheck can delay payment finalization for anywhere from 1-5 days, and orders must wait to ship until payment is successfully completed.
SHIPPING AND RETURNS
Q: How much does shipping cost/When will my package ship?
A: For both domestic and international orders, the default shipping method is USPS First Class. For orders shipped to US addresses, shipping is $3.00 per order (handling fee is included). For orders shipped outside of the US, shipping is $9.00&up per order. Orders shipped to Australia are $8.00 &up. Packages are shipped three times a week on Mondays, Wendesdays and Saturdays. Q: How are the items packaged?
A: All items are carefully packaged in a jewelry box and expertly gift wrapped with a pretty bow, ready for gift giving. For shipment, pieces are mailed in a padded bubble envelope for safe delivery.
Q: Do you ship internationally?
A: Yes! I am happy to ship my pieces worldwide, and by default I use USPS International First Class, which generally takes 1-2 weeks. International shipping cost is $9.00&up per order. Orders shipped to Australia are $9.00 &up per order. If you need your items faster, message me and I will be happy to arrange another shipping method.
Q: My item arrived broken. What do I do?
A: If an item arrives damaged, please contact me within 7 days of the date of shipment for orders shipped with the US, or within 30 days for orders shipped internationally, and I will promptly create a replacement piece. I reserve the right to request return shipment of the damaged item.
Note: Decadent Minis places great importance in your happiness and satisfaction with your experience with us here. We offer refunds and exchanges within 7 days of purchase once original piece is received. Please feel free to contact us first to resolve any issues you may have with your order. It is our objective to make you happy with your purchase and we will do our best to ensure you are satisfied with your item.
Q: How do I use a coupon code?
A: At checkout, you will see a box labeled coupon codes; simply enter your code into the box and hit "apply," and the appropriate amount will be deducted from your total. Unless otherwise stated, coupons and gift certificates can be applied to any pieces in my shop including sale pieces. Shipping and handling charges are not eligible for coupon discounts (with the exception of free shipping coupons, of course).
Q: How can I receive a coupon code?
A: I am constantly giving away a new coupon codes monthly. First time buyers will receive a 15% off coupon code as a thank you. If you sign up for the email list, you will receive a 10% code. Please check for new codes on my Instagram, Facebook or my Etsy shop
Here at Decadent Minis we value you as a customer and your privacy. Your payment information is encrypted and then saved to the database, but important information like credit card details are immediately deleted once the transaction has been completed.
We will not disclose, sell or share your personal information to or with third parties. Decadent Minis strives to maintain a secure and trustworthy relationship between all of its customers. Email addresses will be used to notify customers of products and promotions but be rest assured that we do not spam your email inbox.
